Yes, industry guidelines still apply, but more creators and technologists are delivering enhancements that exceed standards to make web experiences a place where everyone can engage. Enhancements include design consistency, icon usage, and increased color contrast.

A one-size-fits-all approach no longer fits. From online burrito orders to sneaker design, we live in a customizable world, and sifting and searching through content to find what we need is a no-go. Content designed for specific audiences, seamlessly inserted into their daily content diets will continue to be the most impactful and therefore the most successful. 3. Purpose-Driven

As consumer content expectations rise, so does their support of brands whose values align with their own. What started with supporting retailers like grocery markets and sports stores has now been extended to consumers filtering out content channels and technology platforms that don’t share their values.

4. Au Natural

Visual content is getting back to its roots in 2024 with creators embracing raw, filter-free imaging. This year imperfect is in, as photographers lean into natural lighting and celebrate the real, authentic side of visual storytelling to make stronger connections with their audiences.

5. Minimalism

It’s no secret that consuming content can be overwhelming. To cut through the clutter, content creators will be putting words first by embracing text-only communication, led by the rise of ChatGPT.
